The primary aim of the Teaching Assistant apprenticeship is to help you to gain the skills, knowledge and confidence to effectively support the class teacher in enhancing children and young people’s learning.
This is an ideal programme for anyone looking to enter the sector or if you’re working in the role and looking to advance your skills.
About the programme
Our 12 month blended learning programme will build your confidence, skills, knowledge and behaviours required to be a successful teaching assistant. You’ll be working under the close supervision of a teacher, supporting and helping children and young people to learn. One of our specialist Trainers will help you every step of the way to learn and progress ready for end point assessment.
Our programme has been specifically designed around the academic year with correlating activities for the 39 weeks of the school terms. Having been engaging and working with schools and employers over the last 30 years we truly understand how to deliver training for the education sector with learning delivered only in school terms.
Throughout the apprenticeship you’ll receive a rich and wide range of learning opportunities to get the appropriate knowledge, skills and behaviours so that you’re able to successfully complete the programme and progress in your career.
You’ll receive regular workplace face to face teaching as well as joining webinars and completing independent tasks.
Your Trainer will support you every month with a teaching and learning session and be on hand at all times so that you get the very best support when you need it.
