Our L&D Consultant Level 5 programme has been designed together with an industry specialist to ensure that the learning experience you receive is the best it can be. Working with DPG PLC, a leading HR/CIPD industry specialist, we bring you our combined 50 years’ experience in training and the most up to date L&D best practice. About the programme
Our L&D Consultant Level 5 apprenticeship is designed for those in an L&D management type role working with stakeholders across the business to improve performance. You’ll gain a deeper understanding of L&D during the programme and will advance your knowledge and skills to be a highly effective L&D professional. We’ll help you every step of the way with our team of highly skilled, CIPD sector expert trained staff.
This is an exciting 18 month blended learning programme designed to really help you achieve your future career goals by providing the knowledge, skills and behaviours to be a successful L&D professional. You’ll also gain the CIPD Level 5 Certificate in Learning and Development as part of the programme to help strengthen your L&D know-how.
Having designed the apprenticeship with L&D market leaders, DPG PLC you’ll benefit from true industry knowledge and L&D best practice so that you have the best experience and thorough grounding of being an L&D professional. DPG PLC are one the UK’s most successful CIPD centres in the UK and are able to provide sector insight and expertise so that you have the right tools to succeed in your field.
Is the apprenticeship for you?
This apprenticeship is suitable for anyone working in L&D at a generalist or specialist level, where the focus and in-depth expertise is in a specific area such as organisation development, digital / blended learning, resourcing, or talent management. You’ll be an agent for change, influencing key stakeholders, making decisions and recommendations on what the business can / should do in an L&D context.
It’s an ideal programme if you have L&D experience and are in a role that is accountable for ensuring L&D contributes to, and influences, improved performance in the workplace at an individual, team and organisation level. This is a much more in depth learning experience than the Level 3 programme, providing a deeper and more detailed understanding of L&D. Our apprenticeship will help you enhance your own knowledge and experiences with new skills to be a future leader.
What you’ll learn
Through our L&D Level 5 programme you’ll master new competences to become a highly skilled and successful L&D professional. We’ll help and support you to develop a broad range of skills across all L&D elements, from technical knowledge, better understanding of business needs and developing a learning culture. Learning topics include:
- Business understanding
- The L&D function
- Developing a learning culture
- Budget / resource management
As well as completing your apprenticeship, you’ll also gain the CIPD Level 5 Certificate in Learning and Development. You must achieve this as part of the programme.
How you’ll learn
During the 18 month blended learning programme you’ll have the dedicated support of our CIPD sector expert staff to train, help and guide you through your journey.
You’ll benefit from a rich learning experience of the highest quality, with a range of learning techniques and approaches to help you progress through your apprenticeship. You’ll learn through:
- Classroom workshops
- 1-2-1 support including coaching and information, advice and guidance from sector experts
- Assignments and self-study activities
- Progress reviews, including a pre-gateway and final gateway review
- End point assessment preparation and support
Our programme is delivered as either:
- Open cohorts of apprentices scheduled regularly in London, Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester and Leeds; and
- Closed employer specific cohorts across England
You will also record and track learning progress through the OneFile e-portfolio, helping to support and evidence your journey. OneFile is an industry leading and award winning online service which can be accessed 24/7 anywhere and through any device.
