Learning & Development Practitioner

18 Months

About the programme

Throughout the apprenticeship, you’ll be supported by highly skilled, sector expert trainers, helping you every step of the way. Our exciting 18-month blended learning programme (End Point Assessment from month 15) will help you to achieve your future career goals.

During the apprenticeship you’ll develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to be a successful L&D practitioner. You’ll learn the essential skills needed to manage a range of day-to-day L&D activities from identifying learning needs and sourcing solutions; to delivering and evaluating training.

We’ve embedded the CIPD Level 3 Certificate in Learning & Development throughout the apprenticeship so that you can learn in a logically sequenced way. We layer the learning throughout the programme to give you time to apply new found skills, knowledge and behaviours in the workplace.

Is the apprenticeship for you?

If you’re just starting your L&D career or are looking to advance your skills ready for the next step in your development, this programme could be just what you’re looking for. The apprenticeship is designed for those involved in identifying learning or training needs and the practical elements of delivering training, providing the foundation for your future development in an L&D role.

Typically, the apprenticeship is for those who are working alongside colleagues in HR teams (such as employee relations, reward, recruitment) and you’ll often be working with different teams across the business.

Apprentices we work with are working in a similar L&D role with a grasp of technical, vocational and behavioural expertise. You’ll need to be able to have the opportunity in your role to demonstrate that there is a need for the apprenticeship and you’ll be able to apply your knowledge, skills and behaviours into your day-to-day work. This is a great programme to give you the grounding and foundations from which you can develop your career.
