This week’s story of personal progression highlights one of our employees who has grown tremendously during her time at Interserve Learning and Employment (ILE). Ellie Bull, initially began with ILE as an apprentice, and has now developed to become a valued Careers Development Officer in the Sheffield Regional Engagement Team.
Sharing her story, Ellie said:
I started a Level 2 Business Administration apprenticeship with Interserve in November 2014 and then progressed onto my Level 3 which I am due to finish this month.
I really enjoyed working within the Regional Engagement Team as their Administrator, but after two and a half years in the role I felt that I wanted to progress my career. I saw that the Careers Development Officer role had become available and so I grabbed it with both hands! I love engaging with learners and it’s a great feeling to know I’m making a difference to young people’s lives.
Regional Manager Charles Ricketts added:
Ellie joined our team after a brief period working in the Retail Sector. During her apprenticeship it quickly became clear that she was hard working, conscientious and a team player. As an apprentice she provided support across three different sites and although this was sometimes challenging, she coped well with her workload.
Upon completion of her apprenticeship Ellie was offered a permanent position and started to take on extra duties and responsibilities. During this time Ellie has gained confidence and her bubbly personality is an asset when working with our learners. In less than 3 years Ellie has achieved two promotions and is testament to the fact that hard work and commitment to our vision pays off.
We are always on the hunt for good people; people who relish making this difference and redefining futures. We’d love to hear from you, so please, do take a look at our current vacancies or simply drop us a line on the off-chance that we have the perfect role for you too, to progress further in your career!
