With over two thirds of our Work Programme clients below Level 1, there was a clear requirement for ESG to commission SFA funded skills interventions to support the needs of participants. As an existing SFA contractor ESG has been fortunate enough to utilise a significant spend from the Adult Skills Budget to provide vocationally focused pathways to employment in the volume recruiting sectors of the regional economy in the West Midlands. ESG believes these interventions have made a critical contribution to the success of our Work Programme contract i.e. they have created more sustainable jobs. In the November 2012 national data release ESG secured 1st place out of 18 providers and 4th place in the most recent release in June 2013.
