Apprenticeship recognition: Public sector to invest in 200,000 more apprentices before 202010th December 2015
A staggering 110,000 people signed up to attend The Skills Show 2015 and 30,000 visited on the opening day alone – and we fed 2,000 of them throughout the event as they visited our creperie on Careers Street!
This annual Skills Show is organised by ‘Find a Future’, an organisation that provides young people with the chance to unlock their potential and get excited about the world of work. It is the UK’s largest and most successful skills and careers event and during our time at this year’s show at the NEC in Birmingham, we talked to thousands of attendees visiting from secondary schools and colleges across the nation, eager to hear more about Apprenticeships and how to apply.
Our Interserve Learning & Employment stand was constantly abuzz with visitors this year observing our own Apprenticeship ambassadors demonstrating roles in Hospitality, Beauty and Social Media careers through interactive taster sessions making up ‘Careers Street’. Our ‘store fronts’ consisted of a creperie, a social media advice centre and a beauty bar inclusive of special effects make-up, not only to inspire and excite those considering a career in one of these areas but to encourage them to do so through an Apprenticeship!
