Pledge for 100 Apprenticeships in 100 Days

The Prime Minister’s Apprenticeship Adviser, Nadhim Zahawi MP; Skills Minister, Nick Boles; and just under 100 MPs have kick-started a ‘100 in 100 Apprenticeship campaign’ in the run up to National Apprenticeship Week. The aim to create at least 100 new Apprenticeships in the next 100 days builds on the government’s commitment to deliver three million apprenticeships by 2020, and has already seen employers such as Syngenta and Balfour Beatty make their pledges through the online ‘pledgeometer’.
Interserve Learning & Employment’s Victoria Douglas attended the launch event in Westminster with two of our star apprentices from the wider Interserve group to showcase their successes and our own commitment to creating new Apprenticeships. Victoria comments, ‘This event was truly inspirational and it was great to see so many MPs and businesses making their pledges. Chloe Head and James Van Bardwick, two of our apprentices with Lancaster, Interserve’s corporate cleaning services business, are exceptional young people who are a real credit to the Interserve group and its Apprenticeship programme.’
Skills Minister, Nick Boles said: ‘Apprenticeships are set to be one of the success stories of the decade. They deliver for business, our economy and offer life-changing opportunities for our young people.’

Calling all employers, you can make your pledge too. To support Apprenticeships to get behind National Apprenticeship Week, 14- 18 March, visit the pledgeometer to find out more and pledge your support!
