This week’s progression story details Stacey Donoghue’s incredible journey of development through Interserve Learning and Employment (ILE). Stacy initially began her journey with ILE (previously ESG group) as a Claims Administrator in 2008, processing learner information. After two years she progressed into the role of Quality Assurance Officer by applying for an internal vacancy. During this new role Stacey developed her teaching and assessment skills, through training with the support of her manager, which first inspired her to pursue her current career in teaching, learning and development.
In 2013 Stacey accepted the opportunity to become a Training Officer, in 2014 she moved into the HR team as a Training Advisor and since 2015 Stacey has been the Learning and Development Manager. She has been responsible for the creation of numerous new training packages, managing ILE’s induction process and performing a full ‘Training Needs Analysis’ of the business.
Sharing her advice on personal progression, Stacey commented, “each role I have held has been challenging; without either of them I would not have been able to move on to the next. Each new step in my career has been achieved with the support of my managers and colleagues and most of all a determination and desire to continually grow, challenge and develop myself, really taking pride in everything I have done and understanding that hard work is rewarded at Interserve”.
Human Resources Director and Stacy’s manager, Jonathan Gallie, “It has been fantastic to see Stacey progress since joining the business back in 2008, and a pleasure to work with her in the role of Learning and Development Manager. Since taking on this role, Stacey has delivered a leadership programme, managed the launch and ongoing development of our line management training programme, ‘My Team’, and in recent months she has taken on the coordination and management of all our internal levy funded training. I look forward to working with Stacey for many years to come.”
