In support of National Careers Week
2016, we’re backing a great initiative by hosting a suit drive which will run from Monday 7 to Friday 11 March. But we need your help and willingness to do a bit of a wardrobe cleanse to make it happen.
In partnership with South Yorkshire’s The Suit Works
, our drive is aimed at providing unemployed and vulnerable men with the resources they need to get back into work. The organisation hosts styling sessions to prepare people for interviews, helping them to dress the part and feel confident, widening their career prospects, tying in perfectly with the ambitions of the National Careers Week which is a celebration of careers guidance and employment opportunities. Customers using The Suit Works are unemployed men of all ages referred by public agencies, charities and other organisations when they have a job interview or chance of a work placement, but they neither have, nor are able to afford suitable interview clothing.
We’re asking you to donate any of the following: suits, shirts, ties, shoes, smart casual trousers, smart casual jackets, accessories (belts, cufflinks, pocket handkerchiefs, waistcoats, tie pins, braces), winter coats and unused toiletries, all of which the charity can put to excellent use.
With Spring just around the corner, there’s no better time for a clear out. Drop off your suits and boots at the Reception desk of our Head Office
before Friday 11 March, or get in touch to discuss an alternative means of getting them to us. Every suit donated equals a self-esteem boost for someone in need.
